Kids
There are many exiting ministries to help draw your kids and grandkids closer to God both at First Reformed and in the community. We encourage you to take advantage of these programs and help plant the seeds of faith this year!
Promise Lambs
During the morning worship service, children from age 3 to kindergarden are dismissed from the service to attend Promise Lambs. During this time children experience worship at their own level. They sing songs, hear God's story, read from God's word, do a craft, and pray together.
Sunday School
Share a walk through scripture with one of our fun and inspirational leaders. Classes are provided for ages 4 through 12th grade. Come check it out Sunday mornings at 9:30. Courses last through the school year, but anyone is welcome to join anytime.
AWANA
Play awesome games, memorize Bible verses, enjoy fun theme nights, earn wards, and hang out with friends. Prefect for kids pre-k through 5th grade. AWANA meets every Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:00 pm at the Calvary Baptist Church. Check-in begins at 6:15.
Cadets
All boys grade school aged 4-7 are invited to join the Platte Cadet Club. Cadets is a Christian ministry for boys geared toward their mental, social, physical and spiritual development. Cadets participate in club exploration activities, individual merit badges, service projects, Bible lessons and games in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We meet at New Hope Christian Camp 3 miles south of Platte on most Wednesday evenings throughout the school year from 7:00-9:00 pm, beginning Sept. 30.
